HOW TO MAKE A CHARCUTERIE BOARD

This post is sponsored by Jana Foods, LLC

The Charcuterie board is the perfect party snack, really easy and quick to prepare for your guests! Once you have all the ingredients together you only need a few minutes to prepare the platter.
Below we have included several tips to ensure your guests won’t forget their delicious party snack:

Prepare your Charcuterie board:
A classic charcuterie board has a variety of meats, cheeses, fruits, nuts, and fresh garnishes.
For the board itself we highly recommend using a wooden cheese platter.

You will find multiple instructions on how to style and prepare the platter online and in cookbooks, but creativity and a colorful theme is the key to create the most delicious charcuterie platter.
Start preparing all of your ingredients and place them in a bowl right next to your platter. This technique will speed up the process.

1. Meat:
We usually expect each guest to enjoy 3-5 slices in average throughout the party. We like to include flavor rich types of meats such a salami, prosciutto and ham.
2. Cheese:
You can be really creative with the cheese. Our go to is Jana Foods – ADM Rembrandt Extra Aged Gouda. Start with cutting a few slices or cubes and leave a chunk of cheese behind the slices/ cubed cheese pieces. Remember, you want to fully please your guests. Nothing is worse than leaving a party on a empty stomach! For the cheese types, we personally like a mix of mellow and sharp cheeses. Make sure you prepare a variety of cheeses.
3. Bread and Crackers:
We like to include buns, spiced and plain crackers that go well with the chosen cheese.
4. Fruit & Nuts:
We love to add dried and fresh fruits to our platter. It goes perfectly along with the other ingredients.
5. Extras:
Pickles, Honey and olives are the perfect addition.

Ingredients we used for our Charcuterie board:
